really excellent selection of highly readable plays that includes both standards (Fuastus, the Spanish Tragedy, The Alchemist, Bartholomew Fair, The White Devil, The Changeling) and many less well-known onessuch as Endymion, Bussy d'Amboise, The Wild Goose Chase,The Broken Heart, The Lady of Pleasure) - if I had to choose just one anthology of the period, this might well be it. (Except it omits The Duchess of Malfi). Note that some plays are technically Jacobean rather than Elizabethan. ( )
